Facebook Options Added as First Speaker Angie Setzer Focuses on Marketing
Lansing, Mich. (February 10, 2021) – The Michigan Wheat Program’s six-part Wheat Wisdom Webinar series kicks off next week both via zoom and Facebook, at 8 a.m. on Weds., Feb. 17 with a focus on wheat marketing for 2021 and beyond. Each Wednesday webinar (schedule below) begins at 8 a.m. and runs 90 minutes. Thanks to a special partnership, those webinars will now also be available via Facebook for live viewing and interaction.
The first webinar presenter is Angie Setzer, vice president of grain for Citizens Elevator, LLC, in Charlotte, Michigan, who will speak on market outlook for wheat. She manages five elevator locations and has an extensive background in a unique direct-ship cash grain program. Setzer writes Pro Farmers’ weekly “Cash is King” column, is the @GoddessofGrain on Twitter and a frequent commentator on the Weather Channel, AgDay, US Farm Report and other media.
After a quick update on Michigan wheat happenings by MWP Executive Director, Jody Pollok-Newsom, Setzer will provide the keynote presentation, followed by time for a question-and-answer session. There is 1 CCA and 1 RUP credit for each workshop – so long as participants attend on the Michigan Wheat Program/MSU Extension Zoom link and take the survey at the end to enter their information.

The Michigan Wheat Program is funded by nearly 8,000 farmers who grow wheat in 50 of Michigan’s 83 counties.
